Compact countertops – what kind of furniture material is this?

Compact countertops, also known as HPL compact or HPL laminate, are wood-based products made from resin-soaked papers compressed under high pressure at temperatures above 200 degrees Celsius.
HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate. The production technology involves compressing multiple layers of kraft paper under high pressure, with the top layer being impregnated with melamine resin decorative papers. This process results in a final product that is resistant to water, steam, and micro-scratches. As a result, compact countertops are suitable for wet areas in rooms, and undermount sinks provide a natural environment for HPL compact.
